Day 07 - A Song That Reminds You Of A Certain Event

When I was 15, a friend invited me to this thing called Drill Night. It was some sort of a dance party where Reserve Officers Training Corps invited girls to the dance as their "dates." I was invited to the dance, and I felt like I was someone important. As the night went deeper, slow songs were played. It was an opportunity for the boys to slow-dance with the girls they brought to the party. My date asked me to dance. Several songs were played and one that stuck in my memory was the song Again by Janet Jackson. Until now, the song brings me back to that night --- Drill Night 1994.
I heard from a friend today And she said you were in town Suddenly the memories came back to me in My mind Chorus: How can I be strong I've asked myself Time and time I've said That I'll never fall in love with you again A wounded heart you gave, My soul you took away Good intentions you had many, I know you did I come from a place that hurts, an' God knows how I've cried And I never want to return Never fall again Making love to you oh it felt so good and Oh so right Repeat Chorus So here we are alone again, Didn't think it'd come to this And to know it all began With just a little kiss I've come too close to happiness, To have it swept away Don't think I can take the pain Never fall again Kinda late in the game And my heart is in your hands Don't you stand there and then tell me You love me Then leave again 'Cause I'm falling in love with you again Hold me, hold me Don't ever let me go Say it just one time Say you love me God knows I do love you again

Day 06 - A Song That Reminds You Of Somewhere

When I was 15 years old, I went to Baguio City with my parents. It was my first time to travel far away from home. It was a pretty long ride, about 7 to 8 hours or so, and during that ride, I heard the song "Vulnerable" a lot of times. Actually, I think I was able to memorize the lyrics of the song just by hearing it over and over again. I think it's the most popular song during that time and when I was in Baguio, I think I developed LSS for the song. LSS means Last Song Syndrome, that's when you hear the song over and over again in your head. So when I hear this song by Roxette, it reminds me of Baguio City where I got to listen to it over and over again.
Roxette - Vulnerable by
Vulnerable by Roxette
Everywhere I look I see her smile Her absent-minded eyes She has kept me wondering for so long How this thing could go wrong. It seems to me that we are both the same Playing the same game But as darkness falls this true love falls apart Into a riddle of her heart. She's so vulnerable, like china in my hands She's so vulnerable and I don't understand I could never hurt the one I love She's all I've got But she's so vulnerable, Vulnerable. Days like these no one should be alone No heart should hide away Her touch is gently conquering my mind There's nothing words can say. She's coloured all the secrets of my soul I've whispered all my dreams But just as nighttime falls this vision falls apart Into a riddle of her heart. She's so vulnerable, (She's so vulnerable) like china in my hands. She's so vulnerable, (She's so vulnerable) and I don't understand. I could never hurt someone I love She's all I've got But she's so vulnerable Vulnerable. She's so vulnerable, (She's so vulnerable) like china in my hands She's so vulnerable (Oh so vulnerable) and I don't understand I could never hurt the one I love She's all I've got But she's so vulnerable, (She's so vulnerable) like china in my hands She's so vulnerable (Oh so vulnerable) and I don't understand I could never hurt someone I love She's all I've got But she's so vulnerable, Oh so vulnerable, yeah. She's so vulnerable My baby she's vulnerable. She's so vulnerable, oh yeah. Oh so vulnerable, she's all I got. She's so vulnerable, oh yeah. She's so vulnerable. She's so vulnerable.

Day 05 - A Song That Reminds You Of Someone

When I was in college, I wasn't very much into alternative music. I usually listen to pop songs, mostly sung by boy bands and groups of girls. Then one fine day, I was introduced to someone who shared to me his taste in music and my life had never been the same again. I remember that this person lent me a tape of his favorite songs. I remember that there were Sarah McLachlan songs and Rage Against The Machine, but one song that I listened over and over to was this song from the original soundtrack of 10 Things I Hate About You. It's called Your Winter by Sister Hazel. Every time I listen to this song, I remember him. I remember Michael. I remember the guy who watches the same TV shows that I like ( Felicity, Dawson's Creek, Ally McBeal), who buys from the same record store where I buy, and who has the same friend whom I consider important. We had many things in common actually, but I was a jerk, and I pushed him away. When I look back to that time, I can't help but wonder what would have happened if I let him in. Sadly, I wouldn't know. We're not even friends anymore.
Your Winter
by Sister Hazel
The grey ceiling on the earth Well it's lasted for a while Take my thoughts for what they're worth I've been acting like a child In your opinion, and what is that? It's just a different point of view What else can I do? I said I'm sorry, yeah I'm sorry. I said I'm sorry , but for? If I hurt you then I hate myself Don't want to hate myself, don't want to hurt you Why do you chew your pain? If you only know how much I love you, love you Chorus I won't be your winter I won't be anyone's excuse to cry We can be forgiven I will be here The old picture on the shelf Well it's been there for a while A frozen image of ourselves We are acting like a child Innocent and in a trance A dance that lasted for a while You read my eyes just like your diary, oh remember, please remember Well, I'm not a beggar, but what's more If I hurt you, then I hate myself, don't wanna hurt you Why do you chew your pain? If you only knew how much I love you I won't be your winter I won't be anyone's excuse to cry We can be forgiven I will be here

Day 04 - A Song That Makes You Sad

I Will Remember You by Sarah McLachlan is a song that makes me sad. Whenever I hear this song, it just breaks my heart because it makes me feel so sentimental. Sometimes, when I listen to this song, I just space out and my soul goes into this private place where it gently weeps.
I Will Remember You
by Sarah McLachlan
I will remember you Will you remember me? Don’t let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories Remember the good times that we had? I let them slip away from us when things got bad How clearly I first saw you smilin’ in the sun Wanna feel your warmth upon me, I wanna be the one I will remember you Will you remember me? Don’t let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories I’m so tired but I can’t sleep Standin’ on the edge of something much too deep It’s funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word We are screaming inside, but we can’t be heard But I will remember you Will you remember me? Don’t let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories I’m so afraid to love you, but more afraid to loose Clinging to a past that doesn’t let me choose Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light And I will remember you Will you remember me? Don’t let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories And I will remember you Will you remember me? Don’t let your life pass you by Weep not for the memories Weep not for the memories

Day 03 - A Song That Makes You Happy

Doctor Jones by Aqua is a song that makes me happy. Not only does it have a catchy tune, the video is really funny too. When I hear the song, it reminds me of the time when I was younger, back when I used to record videos from MTV and watch them over and over again.
Doctor Jones is a happy song. "A yippee ya yoo, a yippee yay yeah! A yippee ya yoo wah!" I know that the song doesn't really makes sense, but it sure sounds happy too me. Maybe you could try and check the song out and see if it doesn't make you feel happy too.

Day 02 - Your Least Favorite Song

Drive by Incubus is probably my least favorite song. Every band wants to cover that song and it now just seems so overrated. I used to like that song before, but now, listening to it has come to a saturation point that I feel like I'm going to gag if another band tries to do a cover of it. Also, the song brings back bad memories. So although Brandon Boyd is so animalistically sexy, this song is in the bottom of my list.
Drive by Incubus
Sometimes, I feel the fear of uncertainty stinging clear And I can't help but ask myself how much I'll let the fear Take the wheel and steer It's driven me before and seems to have a vague Haunting mass appeal But lately I'm beginning to find that I Should be the one behind the wheel Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there with open arms and open eyes yea Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there I'll be there So, if I decide to waiver my chance To be one of the hive Will I choose water over wine And hold my own and drive? Aah ah ooo It's driven me before and it seems to be the way That everyone else gets around But lately I'm beginning to find that when I drive myself my light is found Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there with open arms and open eyes yea Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there I'll be there Would you choose water over wine? Hold the wheel and drive Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there with open arms and open eyes yea Whatever tomorrow brings I'll be there I'll be there

Day 01 - Your Favorite Song

My favorite song is not a popular one. I heard it first in the Felicity Soundtrack about 10 years ago and the song has stuck to my heart and brain eversince. It's called Slingshots by Morley and I know that not everybody would love this song. People might even find it boring, but I love it. The first time I heard it, it made me cry. There was even a time when I listened to the song over and over again until I got tired of it and was able to memorize the lyrics. Listening to it makes me feel sentimental. I just love this song so much I want to share it to everybody.
Slingshots by Morley Love me when nobody else can see Touch my soul then treat me like i am a stranger This is not the way i want to feel Should have known a love this strong Would bring some danger But i guess it's all in my head Ill find a way to make it end Its magic And it's tragic Slingshots whisper My tears drops unanswered What am I to you? Slingshots you forgot My kisses Don't miss this What am i to you? Shame! how you got me! Ripping words of my lips To keep from asking I fall When you call Press my ear against the phone To hear you lips move I guess it's all in my head And in time I'll make amends O0oh it's magic but it's so tragic I want you so bad... What's wrong with me? I want you so bad... What's wrong with, with you baby! Love me when nobody else can see Touch my soul you treat me like a stranger This is not the way i like to feel Should have known you love this strong Would bring some danger Slingshots whisper My tear drops unanswered What am i to you? Slingshots you forgot My kisses Don't miss this What am i to you, you Slingshot you forgot My kisses Don't miss this What, am i to you?

If It's Love by Train

Train's If It's Love is one of the best love songs I have ever heard. Thanks to my cousin who shared it to me via Facebook. Love you girl! She really knows my kind of music. So now, I am sharing it also to the whole world. Maybe I could do a cover version of this. It's really great! I hope you'll like it.
If It's Love
by Train
While everybody else is getting out of bed I'm usually getting in it I'm not in it to win it And there's a thousand ways you can skin it My feet have been on the floor Flat like an idle singer Remember winger I digress I confess you are the best thing in my life But I'm afraid when I hear stories About a husband and wife There's no happy endings No Henry Lee But you are the greatest thing about me [Chorus] If it's love And we decide that it's forever No one else could do it better If it's love And we're two birds of a feather Then the rest is just whenever And if I'm addicted to loving you And you're addicted to my love too We can be them two birds of a feather That flock together Love, love Got to have something to keep us together Love, Love That's enough for me Took a loan on a house I own Can't be a queen bee without a bee throne I wanna buy ya everything Except cologne 'cause it's poison We can travel to Spain where the rain falls Mainly on the plain side and sing 'cause it is we can laugh we can sing Have ten kids and give them everything Hold our cell phones up in the air And just be glad we made it here alive On a spinning ball in the middle of space I love you from your toes to your face [Chorus] You can move in I won't ask where you've been 'cause everybody has a past When we're older We'll do it all over again When everybody else is getting out of bed I'm usually getting in it I'm not in it to win it I'm in it for you If it's love And we're two birds of a feather Then the rest is just whenever Then the rest is just whenever If it's love And we decide that it's forever No one else could do it better And if I'm addicted to loving you And you're addicted to my love too We can be them two birds of a feather That flock together Love, love Got to have something to keep us together Love, love Got to have something to keep us together Love, love That's enough for me [Download MP3]

I Am Number Four

When I first heard of the title of this movie, "I Am Number Four", I didn't know what it was all about. I said to myself, "Why number four? Why not number one? Everyone wants to be number one!" Well, this only shows my ignorance.
Since March, I have been instructed by the doctor to stay indoors and have bedrest because I have a complicated pregnancy. So, I was shut from the world and I didn't know the latest movie events, or books, or whatever. Only in Facebook did I see this I Am Number Four thing. I got curious so I researched about it. Found out it was a movie starring Alex Pettyfer. Now, anything with Alex Pettyfer is sure to be hot, so I'm excited to watch the movie on DVD and see how it goes.
Then just recently, I found out that I Am Number Four is actually taken from a book written by Pittacus Lore. Knowing that, I have decided to read the book first before watching the movie. I'm sure that the movie would be a total letdown again. Let's admit it... the book is ALWAYS better than the movie, (well except for Lord of The Rings).
I have read the prologue of the book, and so far, I think that it's interesting. I just hope that it won't be a waste of my time though. The movie looks interesting enough, but like I said, I have to read the book first.

Reminiscing Roswell

When I was young, I used to watch a lot of TV shows. Among them are Ally McBeal, Friends, Felicity, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed and Roswell. I wasn't a very avid fan of Roswell so I wasn't able to watch it on a regular basis. Maybe the reason why I wasn't that much of a fan is because I wasn't able to watch the pilot episode of the series so it made me lose interest.
A few years back, DVD's became a trend. It now gave me an opportunity to watch the episodes that I missed in the series that I was interested in. I decided to buy a complete set of Roswell a few years ago, but it was only just recently that I was able to watch it in the complete privacy of my room.
While I was watching the pilot episode of Roswell, it made me feel like a teenager again. It gave me the same feeling when I saw Edward saving Bella from the car. In the series, Max Evans saved Liz Parker from a gunshot. He healed her with his alien abilities, thus risking exposure. It has the same concept as Twilight. Edward saved Bella, thus risking exposure of his being a vampire. Wow!!!
I watched six episodes straight and while I am still enjoying my extended vacation, I plan to finish the series. After all, I gave my second son the same name, so might as well know what "Roswell" is all about. So far, watching Roswell has released some "happy hormones" in my body. It's a good sign. At least I get to temporarily escape from my mundane activities at home.
The Roswell TV series doesn't make me believe that there are aliens among us . . . but I guess it tells us that the truth is out there somewhere. We just have to discover it for ourselves.
