Day 22 - A Song That You Listen To When You Are Sad

There are two songs that I listen to when I'm sad. One is Insensitive by Jann Arden and the other one is Teardrop by Massive Attack.
Teardrop is an eerie song, but it's quite comforting to listen to it when I'm sad.
Teardrop
by Massive Attack
Love, love is a verb Love is a doing word Fearless on my breath Gentle impulsion Shakes me, makes me lighter Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my breath Nine night of matter Black flowers blossom Fearless on my breath Black flowers blossom Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my... Water is my eye Most faithful mirror Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Of a confession Fearless on my breath Most faithful mirror Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my breath You're stumbling a little You're stumbling a little
Insensitive by Jann Arden makes me even sadder than before. It's a good song to listen to when you want to cry your heart out.
Insensitive
by Jann Arden
How do you cool your lips After a summer’s kiss How do you rid the sweat After the body bliss How do you turn your eyes From the romantic glare How do you block the sound Of a voice you’d know anywhere Oh, I really should have known By the time you drove me home By the vagueness in your eyes Your casual good-byes By the chill in your embrace The expression on your face That told me Maybe You might have some advice to give On how to be Insensitive Insensitive Insensitive How do you numb your skin After the warmest touch How do you slow your blood After the body rush How do you free your soul After you’ve found a friend How do you teach your heart It’s a crime to fall in love again Oh, you probably won’t remember me It’s probably ancient history I’m one of the chosen few Who went ahead and fell for you I’m out of hope, I’m out of touch I fell too fast, I feel too much I thought that you might have Some advice to give on how to be Insensitive I really should have known By the time you drove me home By the vagueness in your eyes Your casual good-byes By the chill in your embrace The expression on your face That told me Maybe You might have some advice to give On how to be Insensitive Insensitive Insensitive

Day 21 - A Song That You Listen To When You Are Happy

One of the songs that I listen to when I am happy is Sugar Rush by A*Teens. It's a really cool song which was also sung by Dream Street. It's a feel good song so I guess anyone who would listen to this song would feel a bit happy too. This song is also good to listen to while eating your favorite sugary treat.
What exactly is sugar rush? Sugar rush is the sudden burst of energy after eating sugar-filled foods. According to Urban Dictionary, it is also defined as the girl or boy that you crave for.
Sugar Rush
by A* Teens
I get a high whenever you're around Sweeping from my head to my toes I gotta get my feet back on the ground Cuz you make me go out of my way Crossing the line making me say what I have in mind You make me so excited And I don't wanna fight it I start to blush You are my Sugar Rush Ain't nothing better baby Is it for real or maybe? I start to blush You are my Sugar Rush I got a sweet tooth and a taste for you It might me too obvious but I can't help my self from what I do Cuz you make me go out of my way Crossing the line Making me say what I have in mind You make me so excited And I don't wanna fight it I start to blush You are my Sugar Rush Ain't nothing better baby Is it for real or maybe? I start to blush You are my Sugar Rush Baby you're my Sugar Rush I get weak and talk too much You're the sweetest thing I ever tasted Baby you're my Sugar Rush I get weak and talk too much Cuz you make me go out of my way Crossing the line Making my say what I have in mind You make me so excited And I don't wanna fight it I start to blush You are my Sugar Rush Ain't nothing better baby Is it for real or maybe? I start to blush You are my Sugar Rush Baby you're my Sugar Rush I get weak and talk too much You're the sweetest thing I ever tasted Baby you're my Sugar Rush I get weak and talk too much You are my Sugar Rush

Day 20 - A Song That You Listen To When You're Angry

I like to listen to Silverchair when I'm angry. Their angry songs makes me want to scream and shout and unleash all the unwanted emotions that I have inside. Their song Pure Massacre just tops the list. It's a song that I want to listen to when I'm angry. But I haven't been angry for a long time so I haven't been able to listen to listen to this song for quite a while.

Day 19 - A Song From Your Favorite Album

My favorite album is Frente's Marvin The Album. When I first bought that album, my friend sais that he was impressed with my taste in music. It inspired him to buy a lot of CDs and cassette tapes too. I don't understand it myself but I really liked Frente during that time. Here's a song from that album.
Accidently Kelly Street
by Frente
here's a door and here's a window here's the ceiling here's the floor the room is lit like a black and white movie the t.v.'s on, that's what it's for and if you walk real slowly you can feel the planet breathe there's no need to feel so lowly now that we've all learned to give accidently kelly street where friends and strangers sometimes meet accidently kelly street i never thought life could be so sweet in the garden birds are singing the sun is shining on the path the wind is talking to the flowers the dogs and cats all take a bath and if you stop that talking you can hear the traffic sigh throw away those keys start walking, watch those tiny things go by accidently kelly street where friends and strangers sometimes meet accidently kelly street i never thought life could be so sweet it's sunday everyday and there's no need to rush around inside of everybody there's sun and laughter to be found it seems that we're on holidays and sleeping in is not a sin all the housework's done by teatime i'm feeling good about the way i've been perhaps this optimism will crash on down like a house of cards i know that my decision to change my life was not that hard accidently kelly street where friends and strangers sometimes meet accidently kelly street i never thought life could be so sweet accidently kelly street where friends and strangers sometimes meet accidently kelly street i never thought life could be so sweet accidently... accidently... accidently kelly street i never thought life could be so sweet!

Day 18 - A Song That You Wish You Heard On The Radio

I'm not a very big fan of FM radio so I don't listen to it that much, but I get to hear FM radio when I'm in the public utility vehicle or in other places like the mall, salon or hospitals. Maybe the song that I wish I heard on the radio is What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts. I haven't heard that on Philippine radio maybe because its American country music.

Day 17 - A Song That You Often Hear On The Radio

Like A Rose by A1 is a song that I often hear on the radio. I don't know why, but it seems that wherever I go, this song is following me. A1 has been gone for such a long time, but still their song can be heard in the airwaves every once in a while, just like Westlife's Fool Again.

Day 16 - A Song That You Used To Love But Now Hate

I used to love I'll Be by Edwin McCain, but now I hate it. Everybody knows the song, and over familiarization makes it lose it's being special, you know? At first it sounded cool, when it was still new, but after hearing a lot of artists trying to sing the song, it just makes me sick. So now, I hate the song and I wish I would never have to hear it again.
I'll Be
by Edwin McCain
The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
Stop me and steal my breath
Emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
Never revealing their depth
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated
I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache that hang from above

Chorus
I'll be your crying shoulder
I'll be love suicide
I'll be better when I'm older
I'll be the greatest fan of your life
Rain falls angry on the tin roof
As we lie awake in my bed
You're my survival, you're my living proof
My love is alive not dead
Tell me that we belong together
Dress it up with the trappings of love
I'll be captivated I'll hang from your lips
Instead of the gallows of heartache, that hang from above

Repeat Chorus

I've been dropped out, burned up, fought my way back from the dead
Tuned in, turned on, Remembered the things that you said

Repeat Chorus

Day 15 - A Song That Describes You

There are so many songs out there but there are only a few that describe me. Actually, I had difficulty in choosing, but I guess no words can actually describe who I am in totality. I am what I am, if you know what I mean. Emma Bunton's rendition of What I Am describes my identity.
What I Am
by Emma Bunton
I'm not aware of too many things I know what I know, if you know what I mean Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box Religion is the smile on a dog I'm not aware of too many things I know what I know, if you know what I mean, d-doo yeah Choke me in the shallow waters Before I get too deep What I am is what I am Are you what you are or what? What I am is what I am Are you what you are or Oh, I'm not aware of too many things I know what I know, if you know what I mean Philosophy is a walk on the slippery rocks Religion is a light in the fog I'm not aware of too many things I know what I know, if you know what I mean, d-doo yeah Choke me in the shallow water Before I get too deep What I am is what I am Are you what you are or what? What I am is what I am Are you what you are or what? What I am is what I am Are you what you are or what? What I am is what I am Are you what you are or what you are and What I am is what I am Are you what you are or what? Don't let me get too deep Don't let me get too deep Don't let me get too deep Don't let me get too deep Choke me in the shallow water Before I get too deep Choke me in the shallow water Before I get too deep Choke me in the shallow water Before I get too deep Choke me in the shallow water Before I get too deep

Day 14 - A Song That Nobody Would Expect You To Love

There's this popular saying: "Don't judge a book by it's cover." When people look at me, they think that I usually listen to divas like Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, etc. So, it comes as a surprise to them when they get to see what songs are in my iPod. A friend was surprised when she heard me listening to Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' Face Down. She said that it was off-character. Well, that just goes to show that we really make deductions about someone by how he or she looks like. I happen to love the song, and she might be more surprised if I shared some of the not so-shiny moments of my life.
Face Down
by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus
Hey girl, you know, you drive me crazy One look puts the rhythm in my hand Still I'll never understand why you hang around I see what's goin' down Cover up with make up in the mirror Tell yourself it's never gonna happen again You cry alone and then he swears he loves you Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground? Well, I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found A pebble in the water makes a ripple effect Every action in this world will bear a consequence If you wade around forever you will surely drown I see what's going down I see the way you go and say you're right again Say you're right again, heed my lecture Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground? [- From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/r/red-jumpsuit-apparatus-lyrics/face-down-lyrics.html -] Well, I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found Face down in the dirt she said, ?This doesn't hurt? She said, ?I finally had enough? Face down in the dirt she said, ?This doesn't hurt? She said, ?I finally had enough? One day she will tell you that she has had enough It's coming round again Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground? Well, I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found Do you feel like a man, when you push her around? Do you feel better now as she falls to the ground? Well, I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's going to end As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found Face down in the dirt she says, ?This doesn't hurt? She says, ?I finally had enough?

Day 13 - A Song That Is A Guilty Pleasure

First up, I would like to define what guilty pleasure is, because honestly, when I thought about this, I had to reorient myself about the meaning of this phrase so that I could name a song that suits the description. Accordingly, guilty pleasures are the little things that make life just a wee bit better. Of course they're also the things you're not supposed to like, for example, a greasy quarter pounder cheeseburger, or perhaps Jason Behr of Roswell or a pint vanilla ice cream. But if these pleasures make us happy, what do we have to be guilty about?
Think Twice by Eve 6 is a song that is a guilty pleasure. Why? Well, it just reminds me of Jacob Black and how hot he is. The lyrics is like what Jacob would sing to Bella, you know? And since I'm Team Jacob, every time I hear this song, it just reminds me of him. I'm not supposed to think about Jacob Black because he is a fictional character from a book. My husband need not to be jealous about him either because he's fiction. But when I think of Jacob Black, I just totally lose it. It's like I have a highschool crush on someone who doesn't even exist. Gee.
Think Twice
by Eve 6
When all, Is said, And done, And dead, Does he, Love you, The way that I do? Breathing in, Lightning; Tonight's for fighting. I feel, The hurt, So physical. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around I'll let you feel the burn. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around, come around, No more. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around I'll let you feel the burn. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around, No more. She spreads, Her love; She burns me up. I can't, Let go, I can't get out. I've said, Enough, Enough by now. I can't let go; I can't get out. Wait 'till, The day, You finally see, I've been, Here waiting patiently; Crossing, My fingers, And my t's. She cried on my shoulder begging please. What is it you really want? I'm tired of asking. You're gone; I'm wasted. When I, Showed up, And he, Was there, I tried, My best, To grin, And bear, And took, The stairs, But didn't stop at the street. And as we speak, I'm going down. 'Cause she spread, Her love, And burned me up. I can't, Let go; I can't get out. I've said, Enough, Enough by now. I can't let go; I can't get out. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around I'll let you feel the burn. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around, come around, No more. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around I'll let you feel the burn. Think twice before you touch my girl. Come around, No more....
