Relic #1: Mona Lisa Smile

When I was in college, back in 1994, I had this Chemistry lab teacher named EJ. He is so talented and I admire him so much. I saw this on his table inside the faculty room. I wanted to have a copy of it too, and he gave me one. So, what's so special about this Mona Lisa? Well, when you look at it closely, you would see that it's made out of letters. It's actually amazing for me. It's like a digital "cross stitch" of Mona Lisa, and I know only one person who has the patience to do this, and that would be Eric John, all for the sake of art.

I believe that among all of his students, only two of us got a copy of this. He imprinted my name on the copy that he gave me.

For more than 10 years it has been inside my closet, and seeing this again brings back old memories. I decided to keep this "relic." It's too precious for me to let go of it. Anyway, it would only take up so little space so it's ok to keep it. Maybe when I could get rid of the others. . . maybe.

Relics (Decluttering My Closet)

This is my project for the month. By the end of July, I should have fixed my old room and I should have thrown away all that is unnecessary. But it's hard to declutter the closet if everything has sentimental value. So, in order to solve that, I decided to make a photoblog of the "relics" that I will eventually let go of. With this, I have the memories preserved online, and I would have more closet space. Bright idea huh? Well, good luck to me!

Caterpillar Crawl by The Moffatts really makes me laugh. It reminds me of things that I should never remember. Scott's nasal sound really makes the song funnier.

Day 24 - A Song That You Want To Play At Your Funeral

Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up is probably the first in my list. Actually, I have no idea what song would I want to play at my funeral. I don't think that far ahead. This song was the first to enter my mind. I don't know if the lyrics are appropriate though, I just know that Josh Groban songs sounds great in a funeral.

Day 23 - A Song That You Want To Play At Your Wedding

When I heard Savage Garden's Truly Madly Deeply and I Knew I Loved You, I fell in love with the songs and I wanted them to be played in my wedding. I'm already married now, but the songs were not played. Instead, we played songs by The Corrs and DJ Sammy instead.
