King of Pop Perhaps Died of Choking on a Likas Papaya Bar

When the news of Michael Jackson's death broke out, I was like, "What?" and the next thing I asked was, "How?" followed by a "Why?" I was so stunned that my speech was suddenly limited to mono-syllabic words. After a few minutes, the news finally sunk in, and there was acceptance. Nobody was able to answer my question on how he died. One, just vaguely said that he stopped breathing. So I figured that Michael Jackson died of choking, consuming a whole bottle of glutathione pills which caused his death, or perhaps Likas Papaya, a brand of whitening soap which effectively whitens the skin. Michael's skin color is really so ghastly-white, you don't believe it's actually vertiligo, is it? Investigation is still going on. Some speculate that it's heart attack or perhaps drug abuse. I, for one thing, take a strong stand on my Likas Papaya theory. Michael might have tried to whiten his skin for his upcoming concert and since it was just weeks away, he might have figured that the fastest way was to eat the bar of soap, and get instant results. Hahahaha. Yeah. Yeah, I know, I'm bad. I'm bad. You know it! But with due respect to MJ's family, and those who are grieving, MJ will always be the King of Pop. He surely will be missed.

Another Hallmark Holiday

Father’s Day is just another Hallmark holiday that was invented so that people from all over the world would have the initiative to buy greeting cards. I used to make a big deal out of these Hallmark events – i.e. Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Grandparent’s Day and the like, but now that I have become a grump, it matters less to me. Supposedly, I should be buying my father something today, or perhaps greet him with a warm Happy Father’s Day greeting, but I am in no mood to greet maybe because I don’t believe in holidays anymore. What’s important is that I appreciate him while he is still alive. And if I choose not to, or choose to be indifferent . . . that means that my father is either physically dead or he is already dead in my heart and I don’t care about him anymore.

Basic Torment

It's been almost week of the most basic torment. I started Monday hoping for the best But then the shadow of my past comes back to haunt me. I tried to ignore the soulish beckoning, But the devil has a devious masterplan . . . And I couldn't escape. Tuesday was much more difficult Now with the devil beside me. . . Reminding me of what kind of person I am Imprinting me with feelings that I thought Were already lost at sea. Wednesday was such misery. There was he. Taunting. Yet even an armlength seems a mile away. Never touching. Yet the fantasy is there . . . But there is an invisible wall. And ofcourse The magic code of ethics Hanging over my head. Thursday was an icepick That has burst my bubble of arrogance. Three days of undrank coffee - Three days of heart palpitations - It was the most basic of torments . . . Only to find out that I was only assuming nothing. Damn it . . .

Tip of the Iceberg

It's been a two weeks after the first day of classes, and so far, I'm still breathing. My advisory class may be the rowdiest of the four sections, but I love them. I think I will have a swell time this year. Teachers have been complaining about their noise, but I don't really mind. I know that their behavior is just the tip of the iceberg, and I know that in the final analysis, my St. Augustine class would be the best 5th grade class this school year. With a little motivation and with a lot of love, they would be more than manageable - they'd be great. I'm looking forward to a great 2009-2010. I know that I shouldn't expect a lot from these kids, but I know their potential. All I have to do now is to tap in their potentials and make them the best of what they can be.

Impatiently Waiting For New Moon

OH . . . MY . . . _ _ _!!! As you noticed, I couldn't finish my first sentence. I stared, with my mouth agape when I saw the official preview of New Moon - the sequel to Twilight. I am not an Edward fan. . . more of a Jacob fan if you would recall from some of my previous blog entries. I cannot wait for the film because now, with Jacob and his big muscles, I would surely enjoy every moment of it.

Who Needs Limewire?

I am not really a computer-savvy chick. I don't know how to maximize the use of the internet nor do I know the basics of replacing a printer cartridge and installing programs. So far, I still am learning. I don't want to be way behind technology, right? Today, I discovered a far better way of downloading MP3s. I thought that Limewire was the solution for all the songs that I want to search - I was dead wrong!!! There is a site called Evilshare and Media Fire. Both are excellent sites. Through these sites, I was able to download MP3 albums for free. Try it. You just might like it! To start, I want to share an album worth downloading. Try downloading Lady Gaga's album - The Fame for free. just click on this link and you're set : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?njji2myttnw

Skipping Summer

You know what’s weird? It’s already April and summer was supposed to be here a few weeks back. It has been consistently raining since last week, and what freaks me out is that this is the first summer I’ve experienced to have rain almost everyday. It feels that it isn’t summer yet. Or maybe there won’t be a summer this year. It looks like our country has totally skipped it, and now it is rainy season. I don’t know if I would feel relieved. Yes, I dislike the heat and the sun, but, supposedly, it should be summer, and so far, all I have experienced is rain. Though I prefer rain than the sun, I am a worried because rain isn’t really a normal thing especially if we are supposed to experience heat and the sun during summer season. The rain has kept me still waiting for that ridiculously high temperature that I dread, but it still hasn’t come yet. Perhaps summer is late? Or maybe this year, we would just skip summer? I am a bit scared about the whole thing actually. It isn’t normal to have rain everyday in summer. Weird. This is perhaps the effect of global warming. Our seasons go haywire. Scientists predict that in six years the world will totally feel the devastating effect of global warming. Seasons will change, and we will experience extreme temperatures. I am scared of this happening. I live in the Philippines where there is no snow. If it snows here, people will die. Right now, we are experiencing a slight freaky change in nature’s course. Sooner or later, we may have to face its bigger impact. Can we still help save the environment? Maybe, maybe not. But we have to try our best even if it is too late.
