Skipping Summer

You know what’s weird? It’s already April and summer was supposed to be here a few weeks back. It has been consistently raining since last week, and what freaks me out is that this is the first summer I’ve experienced to have rain almost everyday. It feels that it isn’t summer yet. Or maybe there won’t be a summer this year. It looks like our country has totally skipped it, and now it is rainy season. I don’t know if I would feel relieved. Yes, I dislike the heat and the sun, but, supposedly, it should be summer, and so far, all I have experienced is rain. Though I prefer rain than the sun, I am a worried because rain isn’t really a normal thing especially if we are supposed to experience heat and the sun during summer season. The rain has kept me still waiting for that ridiculously high temperature that I dread, but it still hasn’t come yet. Perhaps summer is late? Or maybe this year, we would just skip summer? I am a bit scared about the whole thing actually. It isn’t normal to have rain everyday in summer. Weird. This is perhaps the effect of global warming. Our seasons go haywire. Scientists predict that in six years the world will totally feel the devastating effect of global warming. Seasons will change, and we will experience extreme temperatures. I am scared of this happening. I live in the Philippines where there is no snow. If it snows here, people will die. Right now, we are experiencing a slight freaky change in nature’s course. Sooner or later, we may have to face its bigger impact. Can we still help save the environment? Maybe, maybe not. But we have to try our best even if it is too late.
